Job Summary

STAFFXPERT LLC is seeking a Senior GIS Programmer / Systems Analyst on behalf of our client in Towson, MD. This role is ideal for an experienced GIS professional with strong expertise in ESRI technologies, enterprise GIS application development, ArcGIS Server administration, and systems analysis. The selected candidate will support the development, enhancement, integration, and maintenance of GIS-based applications and services within a dynamic enterprise environment.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in GIS web technologies, database development, application support, and enterprise systems integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and enhance enterprise GIS applications and web services.

• Support ArcGIS Server environments, including application upgrades and troubleshooting.

• Develop and maintain GIS web applications using ArcGIS JavaScript API and Web AppBuilder.

• Support GIS integrations and configuration activities with enterprise asset management systems.

• Enhance and maintain existing utility and facilities applications built using C#, .NET, and ArcObjects SDK.

• Develop automation workflows and scripts using Python and ArcGIS Model Builder.

• Analyze and resolve production issues, application defects, and system performance concerns.

• Create and maintain reports using SSRS.

• Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to gather requirements and implement scalable GIS solutions.

• Support SQL development, including stored procedures, triggers, and database optimization.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, GIS, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in application development using:

  • .NET

  • C#

  • JavaScript

  • HTML

  • Python

  • J2EE

• Minimum 5 years of experience in systems analysis, program analysis, project support, or related technical disciplines.

• Hands-on experience with ESRI technologies, including:

  • ArcGIS Server

  • ArcGIS APIs

  • ArcGIS JavaScript API

  • ArcGIS Web AppBuilder

  • ArcSDE

  • ArcGIS Mobile

  • Collector for ArcGIS

• Experience with ArcGIS Model Builder and Python scripting.

• Strong SQL skills including stored procedures, triggers, and relational database concepts.

• Experience with Oracle and/or SQL Server databases.

• Experience developing reports using SSRS.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting GIS integrations with enterprise asset management platforms.

• Prior experience working within large enterprise or public sector environments.

• Familiarity with legacy GIS toolsets and ArcObjects SDK environments.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment.
