Position Overview

In response to ongoing expansion and strategic initiatives, Our Client is seeking a highly experienced Epicor Prophet 21 (P21) Developer. This pivotal role will help drive the enhancement, personalisation, and optimisation of the ERP platform, underpinning business-critical functions across finance, distribution, and supply chain operations. The successful candidate will be integral in delivering tailored solutions and automations that directly impact operational efficiency and strategic growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement customisations within Epicor Prophet 21 to meet evolving business needs


• Create and support business rules, stored procedures, reports, dashboards, and user interface modifications


• Develop enhancements through P21 tools, APIs, and extension frameworks


• Build and maintain integrations with third-party systems such as WMS, CRM, eCommerce, and EDI platforms


• Develop ETL processes and automation workflows to streamline data management


• Support and maintain API and web service integrations


• Create and optimise SQL queries, views, and reports to provide meaningful data insights


• Develop SSRS or comparable reporting solutions for data analysis and reporting needs


• Troubleshoot system issues, providing Tier 2/3 support to ensure continuous system availability and performance


• Participate in upgrades, patches, and testing to maintain system stability, security, and data integrity


• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements, define technical solutions, and ensure alignment with business objectives


• Document system configurations, development standards, and best practices

Essential Skills & Experience

• At least 3 years' practical experience with Epicor Prophet 21 ERP systems


• Strong proficiency in SQL Server, including writing queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning


• Proven track record in developing ERP customisations and integrations


• Experience with reporting tools such as SSRS


• Solid understanding of distribution or manufacturing business processes


• Effective troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve complex issues


• Excellent communication skills, capable of translating technical concepts for non-technical audiences

Desirable Skills & Experience

• Familiarity with .NET framework or C#


• Knowledge of scripting languages like Python or PowerShell


• Experience with EDI integrations


• Background in data warehousing or Business Intelligence platforms


• Relevant Epicor certifications


• Experience supporting ERP upgrades or migrations


• Exposure to wholesale distribution or supply chain environments
