Quality Manager Quality Manager

Position Overview
The Quality Manager will oversee and manage all aspects of quality assurance and compliance within the organization. This role is crucial for ensuring that products meet customer-specific regulations and industry standards, while also driving continuous improvement initiatives across processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement quality management systems in compliance with AS9100 and other regulatory requirements.
  • Lead audits, inspections, and assessments to ensure adherence to quality standards and customer-specific regulations.
  • Manage the Material Review Board and facilitate effective root cause analysis, corrective and preventative actions.
  • Coordinate supplier quality audits and evaluations to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Oversee the quality assurance team, providing guidance and support in their daily activities and professional development.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and standards, including ISO 17025 and ANSI Z540.
  • Utilize statistical process control (SPC) methods to analyze and improve product quality.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in quality management, preferably in a manufacturing or aerospace environment.
  • Strong understanding of customer-specific regulations and quality assurance practices.
  • Experience with AS9100, NADCAP, and DoD requirements.
  • Certification as an AS9100 Lead Auditor and/or ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) is preferred.
  • Proven track record in continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma, with a CSSBB certification being a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with experience in root cause analysis and corrective action processes.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with experience managing teams and driving performance improvements.
