Job Details
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Superintendent in Grantsville, UT. This individual will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our construction projects, including but not limited to, quality control, blueprint and specification reading, scheduling, safety programs, crew management, risk management, contract negotiation, communication, subcontractor management, site management, safety compliance, materials management, and cost control. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction means and methods and will be proficient in scheduling software such as Primavera P6, MS Project, Procore, and Bluebeam. This position requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all aspects of construction project from planning to implementation.
2. Allocate resources for assigned projects.
3. Supervise onsite personnel and subcontractors.
4. Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, city and county officials, and clients.
5. Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications.
6. Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards, and report issues.
7. Conduct quality control analysis and ensure that the construction project aligns with the established standards.
8. Read and understand blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
9. Manage project schedules using various software tools.
10. Coordinate subcontractors, trades, and laborers effectively.
11. Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and vendors.
12. Manage construction site and ensure that it is maintained in a clean and safe manner.
13. Control project costs to ensure completion within budget.
Qualifications:
1. 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent or in a similar role in construction.
2. Proven experience in the Healthcare sector of the Construction Industry.
3. Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, and procedures.
4. Proficiency with scheduling software such as Primavera P6, MS Project, Procore, and Bluebeam.
5. Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety programs.
6. Experience with crew management - coordinating subcontractors, trades, and laborers.
7. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
8. Strong negotiation skills and experience with contract negotiation.
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
10. Experience with risk management, site management, safety compliance, materials management, and cost control.
11. Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks.
12. Strong problem-solving abilities.
13. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
14. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field is preferred.
