  • Generate and validate accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) within SolidWorks and Windchill
  • Apply Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5 standards
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, manufacturing, and assembly teams to ensure migrated models meet design requirements and accurately represent physical products
  • Ensure CAD data is structured, consistent, and properly managed within the PLM environment

Required Experience, Skills, and Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Drafting & Design, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline with 4+ years of experience (additional experience/training/certifications may be considered in lieu of degree)
  • ship; must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC)
  • 3+ years of professional SolidWorks experience with emphasis on top down/bottom up assemblies, sheet metal, weldments, or large assemblies
  • Strong AutoCAD skills and experience interpreting and converting legacy 2D drawings
  • Proficiency in 3D modeling and creating detailed drawings directly from models
  • Solid background in production quality drawings compliant with ASME Y14.5
  • Ability to model fabricated parts and create accurate technical drawings
  • Strong understanding of ANSI/ASME dimensioning and tolerancing practices
  • Experience with mechanical, electrical, and textile design drafting
  • Exceptional attention to detail

Preferred Experience, Skills, and Education
  • Experience working with Army drawings or DoD engineering documentation
  • Knowledge of DoD and ASME drafting standards and best practices
  • Hands on experience with PTC Windchill PLM for managing CAD assemblies, parts, drawings, and engineering change workflows
  • CSWP/CSWE certification highly desirable
  • Strong analytical, technical, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast paced environment
