Job Title: Senior Business Analyst Compliance & Policy Management

Position Summary

A public-sector organization is seeking an experienced compliance-focused Business Analyst to support a policy management and framework update initiative. This role will be part of an internal audit and risk management function responsible for strengthening compliance, risk management, and assurance practices across the organization.

The position will focus on aligning policy management practices with regulatory requirements and organizational strategy, strengthening public trust, and ensuring policies are current, effective, and embedded throughout the agency.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct a comprehensive review and update of existing organizational policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with current regulations and industry best practices

• Lead cross-functional project management of the policy review lifecycle, coordinating input from stakeholders and ensuring timely implementation of approved updates

• Schedule and facilitate interviews with policy owners and subject matter experts to document procedures and workflows supporting existing policies

• Draft new policies and executive summaries to address operational gaps and emerging regulatory or organizational requirements

• Manage and maintain a centralized policy repository with version control to ensure document integrity, accessibility, and audit readiness

• Establish and manage a recurring review schedule to ensure all policies remain current and compliant with evolving regulations

• Develop training materials and conduct training sessions to educate staff on new and updated policies

• When time permits, develop metrics and reporting mechanisms to monitor policy compliance and measure effectiveness

Preferred Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in compliance, policy management, or risk management

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with proven policy and technical writing ability

• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute actionable plans to meet challenging objectives

• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with experience working across multiple departments

• Bachelor s degree in a related field
