Jira Administrator / Delivery Operations Analyst / Project AnalystAbout the RoleOur client is seeking a hands-on Jira Administrator to support IT delivery teams in a fast-moving, software development environment.
This role sits at the intersection of
Jira administration, delivery support, and resource management, and is ideal for someone who enjoys owning
tooling, supporting teams, and bringing structure to complex work.
This is
not a Jira "power user" role. Jira Administration is
mandatory and must be part of your
most recent role, with the ability to provide concrete, real-world examples.
What You'll Do- Own Jira Administration across projects and teams, including:
- Workflow configuration and updates
- Permission schemes, issue types, and field configurations
- Board setup, reporting, and ongoing optimization
- Partner closely with IT and software delivery teams, communicating effectively in an Agile / development environment
- Support resource and capacity management within Jira, helping teams understand allocation, availability, and delivery impact
- Use Excel to track, analyze, and support delivery and resource data
- Act as a problem-solver for Jira-related questions, improvements, and process enhancements
- Learn quickly, think critically, and adapt as team needs evolve
Required Qualifications (Non-Negotiable)- Hands-on Jira Administration experience in your most recent role
- This is mandatory and will be validated during screening
- Must be able to speak clearly to configurations you personally owned
- Experience working in an IT / software development environment
- Similar to a Business Analyst, you can communicate comfortably with technical teams
- Deep technical coding skills are not required
- Strong Excel proficiency
- Clear understanding of resource and capacity management (true Jira Admins will recognize this immediately)
- Demonstrated critical thinking and ability to learn quickly
Nice to Have (But Not the Focus)- Project management or delivery support experience
- Exposure to budgeting or financial tracking
- Note: this role does not handle invoices or vendor financials

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $45.00 - $60.00/hr.
