Description:

  • We are seeking a highly strategic and technically adept SAP HCM Functional Business Analyst to drive the evolution of our client s global HR systems landscape. This role is best suited for an expert who combines deep SAP HCM configuration expertise with strong business analysis capabilities and thrives within a complex, enterprise-scale environment.
  • Supporting a global retail organization, you will play a central role in ensuring system stability, enabling HR transformation, and delivering seamless integration across SAP ECC and other HR platforms (SuccessFactors, UKG, ADP, AD, Benefits etc.).

Key Responsibilities:

SAP HCM Configuration & Functional Leadership:

  • Lead hands-on configuration and support of core SAP HCM modules, including Personnel Administration and Organizational Management, working extensively across employee data structures, organizational hierarchies, and workflows.
  • Utilize transactions such as PA30 and PA40 to manage and troubleshoot employee lifecycle events, while navigating organizational structures through PPOME and PO13 to maintain data integrity and alignment with business needs.
  • Configure and analyze infotypes, actions, and dynamic actions, leveraging tools like SM30 and SPRO to maintain system configuration and ensure scalability across regions.
  • Leverage tools such as LSMW, SE16/SE16N, and SM37 for data management and issue resolution.
  • Interpret ABAP code, user exits, and enhancements for debugging and root cause analysis.
  • Build and execute Ad-Hoc reports and queries for validation, compliance, and business insights.
  • Provide strong functional leadership across Time Management, Payroll, and Benefits, including schema and rule understanding, wage type configuration, and benefits enrollment structures.

HR Integrations & Interface Management:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert across External and Internal vendor platforms to SAP HCM integrations, ensuring seamless upstream and downstream data processing.
  • Investigate and resolve complex interface issues using tools such as SLG1 (application logs), WE02/WE05 (IDoc monitoring), and BD87 (reprocessing) to maintain data consistency.
  • Support middleware and integration frameworks by partnering with technical teams to analyze failures, reconcile data discrepancies, and optimize data flows across hybrid landscapes.
  • Drive system reliability through proactive monitoring and continuous interface improvement.

Production Support & Operational Excellence:

  • Provide independent, hands-on production support in a high-volume, mission-critical environment.
  • Troubleshoot issues using tools such as ST22 (dump analysis), SM37 (job monitoring), and SU53 (authorization checks) to diagnose and resolve system errors efficiently.
  • Monitor batch jobs, payroll runs, and time processes, ensuring system stability and timely resolution of incidents.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to optimize performance, reduce defects, and enhance system reliability.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 5+ years of SAP HCM Functional / Business Analyst experience with deep expertise in PA and OM structures and processes.
  • Strong working knowledge of Time Management, Payroll, and Benefits, including schema/rules understanding and cross-module dependencies.
  • Proven experience supporting and troubleshooting SuccessFactors integrations, including IDoc processing, interface monitoring, and hybrid architecture design.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP Fiori ESS/Client, including exposure to launchpad configuration and user experience enhancements.
  • Demonstrated expertise in business analysis, including requirements gathering, process mapping, and specification development.
  • Experience working within large, global environments with distributed HR operations.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills.
