Job Summary

Our client is seeking a Staff Engineer, Electronics Architect to provide technical leadership for electronic architecture across a portfolio of dispensers, controllers, chargers, edge devices, switches, and connected hardware platforms. This role will own electronics architecture strategy and partner closely with Software and Firmware Architects to drive system integration, scalability, reliability, and future platform innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and drive electronic architecture strategy across multiple hardware platforms.

• Lead system-level electronic design and integration for connected hardware products.

• Define scalable, reliable, and future-ready electronics architectures.

• Partner with Software and Firmware Architects to drive system-level integration.

• Support architecture decisions across dispensers, controllers, chargers, edge devices, switches, and connected platforms.

• Evaluate and define communication interfaces and protocols.

• Provide technical leadership and guidance across cross-functional engineering teams.

• Drive architecture improvements supporting product reliability, scalability, and innovation.

Must-Have Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in electronics engineering, embedded systems, or hardware architecture.

• Strong expertise in system-level electronic design and integration.

• Hands-on experience with communication protocols:

  • SPI

  • I2C

  • UART

  • CAN

  • Ethernet

  • USB

  • Wireless

• Strong technical leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.

• Experience working closely with Software and Firmware engineering teams.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related required.

• Willingness to work onsite in Austin, TX.

Preferred Requirements

• Experience architecting connected or embedded hardware platforms.

• Experience with chargers, controllers, edge devices, switches, or similar electronic systems.

• Experience driving architecture across multiple product platforms.

• Strong background in system integration, reliability, and scalability.

• Experience in a technical leadership or Staff Engineer capacity.
