Description
We are looking for a Senior Engineer to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Appleton, Wisconsin. In this role, you will leverage your technical expertise to design and implement software solutions that align with organizational strategies. You will play a pivotal role in driving innovation, ensuring system scalability, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful outcomes.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement software solutions that meet business-critical needs, applying sound engineering practices.
Collaborate with team members to establish and refine engineering standards, templates, and frameworks.
Utilize technical expertise to solve complex problems and remove roadblocks, ensuring smooth project execution.
Drive automation and process improvements to enhance system stability, scalability, and resilience.
Actively participate in product planning, helping teams break down and prioritize work effectively.
Promote the use of DevOps principles, including CI/CD pipelines, to improve deployment and build processes.
Evaluate and select technology vendors, contributing to proof-of-concept initiatives.
Share knowledge and mentor other engineers to foster growth within the team with attention to detail.
Continuously assess and adopt new technologies to maintain cutting-edge software solutions.
Provide technical guidance and support for subsystem maintenance and troubleshooting.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent work experience.
At least 4 years of experience in software engineering, including creating detailed plans from abstract concepts.
Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices and version control systems.
Proficiency in Python, GitHub, and AWS technologies.
Experience with designing solutions, automation processes, and defect management.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively within teams.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently.
Familiarity with engineering frameworks and practices to ensure high-quality deliverables.
