Senior Construction Superintendent for Mechanical , HVAC, Telecommunications & Controls provides onsite leadership for the construction, installation, integration, testing, and commissioning of mechanical, HVAC, telecommunications, low-voltage, and building control systems. This position oversees field personnel, subcontractors, safety, quality, schedule, and customer coordination to ensure successful project delivery on federal, military, and mission-critical facilities.

Responsibilities
  • Direct daily field operations for HVAC, telecommunications, and controls construction activities.
  • Manage subcontractors, labor crews, vendors, and installation teams.
  • Coordinate mechanical systems, structured cabling, fiber optics, BAS, UMCS, DDC, and low-voltage systems.
  • Ensure compliance with contract requirements, drawings, specifications, safety standards, and quality control procedures.
  • Monitor project schedules, work sequencing, logistics, and commissioning activities.
  • Conduct site inspections, safety meetings, progress reviews, and punch-list management.
  • Interface with government representatives, facility personnel, engineers, and project managers.
  • Support project closeout, turnover, testing, documentation, and training activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 10+ years of construction experience with HVAC, mechanical, telecommunications, or building systems.
  • 5+ years in a Superintendent, General Foreman, or Construction Management role.
  • Experience reading construction drawings, specifications, and schedules.
  • Background check

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Working knowledge of HVAC systems, structured cabling, fiber optics, BAS/DDC controls, and commissioning processes.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of construction processes, means, and methods.
  • Expert knowledge of building products, construction details, relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.
  • Understanding all facets of the construction process.
  • Competent in conflict and crisis management.
  • Leadership and human resources management skills.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and managerial skills, and self-motivation, yet effective in teams and with senior management.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Federal construction experience with DOE, or similar agencies.
  • Experience with BAS, UMCS, SCADA, structured cabling, AV, electronic security, and smart building systems.
  • Experience supporting secure facilities, data centers, command centers, or mission-critical infrastructure.
  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety
  • BICSI Technician or RCDD
  • EM 385-1-1 Experience.
