Oracle Developer - Cobol to Oracle migration

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Oracle Developer with 12+ years of expertise in Oracle 12c+, PL/SQL development, Oracle APEX, data warehousing, ETL, and Micro Focus COBOL environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for database development, administration, performance tuning, and technical architecture documentation in a large-scale enterprise environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize Oracle 12c+ databases and PL/SQL components.
• Create and maintain stored procedures, functions, packages, sequences, and tables.
• Perform database administration, user management, and performance tuning.
• Develop and maintain applications using Oracle Application Express (APEX).
• Build and support enterprise data warehouse and ETL processes.
• Support Micro Focus COBOL Runtime environments, including COBOL and Oracle Pro*COBOL.
• Design normalized database structures and manage large datasets.
• Prepare technical and architecture specifications and documentation.
• Troubleshoot production and development issues and implement solutions.

Required Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience with Oracle 12c or higher.
• Strong expertise in PL/SQL, stored procedures, functions, DDL/DML, and performance tuning.
• 12+ years of Oracle Database Administration experience.
• 12+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle APEX.
• 12+ years of experience in Oracle Data Warehousing and ETL processes.
• 12+ years of experience supporting Micro Focus COBOL Runtime, CCOBOL, and Oracle Pro*COBOL.
• Strong experience with data normalization and large-scale data processing.
• Excellent technical and architecture documentation skills.
