#### **Overview:**
We are seeking a proactive IT professional to oversee the administration, support, and automation of enterprise middleware systems utilizing JBoss EAP and Microsoft Azure DevOps. In this hybrid technical role, you will be responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and successful deployment of mission-critical applications.

#### **Key Responsibilities:**
- Install, configure, and manage JBoss EAP (7/8.x) environments across various lifecycle stages (Dev, QA, UAT, Prod).
- Oversee JBoss clustering, HA configurations, and failover strategies in both standalone and domain modes.
- Integrate and support Azure DevOps for end-to-end CI/CD processes, including source code management, automated build/release pipelines, branching strategies, and artifact handling.
- Administer application deployments (WAR/EAR) to JBoss using automated and manual tools (CLI/GUI).
- Configure and troubleshoot integrations with Apache/mod_jk, mod_cluster, and other middleware/web tier components.
- Execute platform upgrades, patching, and performance tuning (JVM, datasources, caches).
- Design and automate routine tasks via scripting (Shell/Bash/Python) to enhance operational efficiency.
- Monitor application health and infrastructure metrics, respond to incidents, and provide root cause analysis.
- Maintain thorough technical documentation, runbooks, and support procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional IT, application, infrastructure, and security teams to resolve issues and optimize platform reliability.

#### **Required Skills & Experience:**
- Hands-on experience administering **JBoss EAP 7/8.x** in enterprise environments.
- Proven expertise in **Azure DevOps**: building CI/CD pipelines, managing Azure Repos, release automation, branching, and artifact management.
- Solid understanding of JBoss clustering, session replication, and failover mechanisms.
- Experience with application deployment/configuration via both graphical interfaces and command line.
- Familiarity with mod_jk/mod_cluster and web server integrations.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic capability across middleware, application, and infrastructure layers.
- Scripting experience for automating operational tasks (e.g., Bash, Shell).
- Performance tuning, JVM optimization, and capacity planning skills.
- Ability to document technical processes clearly and train/support other teams as needed.

#### **Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):**
- Professional certifications in JBoss, Azure, or DevOps.
- Experience working in large-scale, enterprise, or cloud-based environments.
- Exposure to infrastructure as code and automation tools (e.g., ARM Templates, Terraform, Ansible).
- Experience with other middleware platforms (e.g., WebLogic, Tomcat) a plus.
