Job Overview
We are seeking a Telephony Automation & VoIP Platform Engineer to support and operate large-scale voice platforms in a telecom/ISP environment. This is a hands-on role focused on VoIP platform qualification, device provisioning, automation, API validation, and data analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support VoIP platform qualification, including registration, monitoring, calling, and billing capabilities
- Support and operate VoIP platforms and customer voice services
- Configure and manage ATA devices, specifically Polycom ATA 400
- Perform remote device provisioning using TR-069
- Support large-scale migrations from legacy voice platforms to modern VoIP stacks
- Develop Python and shell scripts to automate validation and testing workflows
- Execute and validate REST API calls using Postman
- Perform pre- and post-migration data validation using SQL
- Write SQL queries for data collection, analysis, and reconciliation; experience with BigQuery and Looker Studio preferred
- Troubleshoot SIP/TLS signaling and voice traffic issues
- Use Wireshark / packet capture tools to diagnose TCP/IP and VoIP issues
- Collaborate with vendors, platform teams, and operations to resolve issues
Required Qualifications
- Strong experience with Voice over IP (VoIP)
- ATA device experience (mandatory) Polycom ATA 400
- Experience with SIP and TLS
- Experience with TR-069 for remote device provisioning
- Python scripting and automation experience
- Linux system administration experience
- Hands-on experience with REST APIs and Postman
- SQL for data validation and analysis
- Working knowledge of TCP/IP networking
- Experience with Wireshark / packet capture tools
- Background in Telecom / ISP / ITSP environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) experience or certifications
- Experience with BigQuery and Looker Studio
- Experience supporting large-scale telecom customer migrations
- Vendor integration experience
