As the App Dev Senior Tech Lead Analyst, you will be responsible for the technical vision, architecture, and execution of this greenfield platform. You will lead a world-class engineering team from the ground up, while remaining deeply technical and contributing to the core development of the platform. This is a unique opportunity to blend strategic leadership with hands-on engineering to build a product that will have a direct and measurable impact on the front lines of our business.
Key Responsibilities
- Core Java Platform Architecture & Development:
- Provide strategic direction and hands-on technical leadership for the design, development, and modernization of enterprise-scale Java applications.
- Architect and build robust, highly available, and resilient microservices-based systems using the full Java and Spring ecosystem.
- Own the technical roadmap for the core platform, focusing on performance, scalability, and security.
- Establish and enforce best practices for Java development, including code quality, testing standards, and performance tuning.
- Technical Leadership & Strategy:
- Serve as the ultimate technical authority and decision-maker for the Java platform.
- Lead the evaluation and selection of foundational technologies, frameworks, and tools that support the core Java infrastructure.
- Drive innovation by identifying opportunities to refactor, optimize, and enhance our existing systems.
- Intelligent Systems & AI Integration:
- Guide the integration of advanced capabilities, including Agentic AI and Large Language Models (LLMs), into the core Java platform.
- Collaborate with AI specialists to design and implement interfaces and services that allow AI agents to interact seamlessly with our core business logic.
- Ensure that AI features are built upon a solid, well-architected Java foundation.
- Team Leadership & Mentorship:
- Lead, mentor, and cultivate a high-performing team of senior Java engineers.
- Foster a culture of engineering excellence, continuous improvement, and deep technical ownership.
- Conduct expert-level code reviews, provide architectural guidance, and mentor engineers on advanced Java concepts.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Extensive Java Experience:15+ years of professional, hands-on software development experience with a primary focus on Java.
- Expert-Level Java Proficiency:Deep mastery of the Java language (Java 17+), including concurrency, memory management, and performance tuning.
- Spring Framework Mastery:Extensive, expert-level experience with the Spring Framework, particularly Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Data, and Spring Security.
- Architectural Leadership:Proven track record of architecting, building, and deploying large-scale, distributed, and mission-critical systems. Deep expertise in microservices patterns, API design, and event-driven architecture.
- Cloud & DevOps:Strong, hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform) and a modern DevOps mindset (CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code).
- Leadership:Proven ability to lead and inspire senior engineering teams, set technical vision, and drive execution
- Education:Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- AI/ML Integration Experience:Experience integrating advanced technologies or third-party systems into a core Java platform. Experience with AI, LLMs, or agentic frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex) is a significant advantage.
- Advanced Education:Master?s or Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- Financial Services:Experience building high-throughput, low-latency systems in the financial services industry is a strong plus.
- Polyglot Experience:Familiarity with Python for scripting or AI/ML integration is beneficial.
- Data Systems:Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases
