Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced HCL Consultant to support our IT team in reviewing and stabilizing our current application environment. This role involves analyzing system configurations, evaluating deployment processes, performing code reviews, and ensuring effective knowledge transfer to internal teams.
The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on expertise in HCL technologies, a structured problem-solving approach, and the ability to deliver actionable recommendations to enhance system stability and maintainability.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and document current application environments (Dev, Test, Prod), including configurations, integrations, and dependencies
- Review and optimize deployment processes for efficiency, consistency, and reliability
- Perform code reviews to identify defects, risks, and technical debt; implement enhancements where needed
- Troubleshoot environment-related issues, deployment failures, and configuration inconsistencies
- Conduct knowledge transfer sessions to internal teams for long-term sustainability
- Recommend best practices for application stability, environment management, and deployment automation
- Collaborate with IT teams and stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities
- Prepare detailed documentation, including findings, remediation steps, and improvement plans
Required Skills & Experience
- 7+ years of hands-on experience with HCL technologies (Volt MX / IRIS / Foundry)
- Strong experience in environment configuration and deployment pipeline evaluation
- Solid understanding of application architecture, integrations, and system dependencies
- Proven experience in code review and application optimization
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with CI/CD tools and automated deployment frameworks
- Prior consulting or contractor experience in application modernization or remediation projects
- Familiarity with enterprise application lifecycle management best practices
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related field
