About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Platform Engineer Lead to spearhead the development of a next-generation Generative AI platform. This is a greenfield initiative offering the opportunity to build a strategic enterprise platform from the ground up.
As a founding technical leader, you will design and develop scalable, distributed systems that leverage Large Language Models (LLMs) and advanced AI technologies. While leading a highly technical team, you will remain actively involved in hands-on coding and architectural decisions.
This role is ideal for a senior engineering leader who thrives in startup-style environments within large-scale enterprise ecosystems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a highly skilled engineering team while contributing hands-on to development efforts.
- Architect and build high-quality, highly reliable, and scalable platform software.
- Design distributed systems capable of operating at enterprise scale.
- Develop and integrate Generative AI and LLM-driven solutions.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, subject matter experts, and business stakeholders.
- Ensure platform compliance with enterprise security standards and SDLC processes.
- Operate, scale, and continuously enhance the platform's performance and reliability.
- Drive innovation and technical best practices across the engineering organization.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Engineering Lead, Hands-on Software Engineering Manager, or similar leadership role.
- Strong hands-on expertise in Python.
- Deep knowledge of distributed systems and scalable architecture.
- Experience designing and running large-scale platforms in production environments.
- Practical experience working with AI/ML technologies, particularly Large Language Models (LLMs).
- Proficiency in modern programming languages such as Go or Java.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Kafka, and RESTful API design.
- Development experience with at least one major public cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building enterprise AI or data-driven platforms.
- Background in regulated industries such as finance, healthcare, or large-scale enterprise environments.
- Strong understanding of secure software development practices.
