Summary

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related Science or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience; or Master's degree, plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is obtainable within a reasonable amount of time after hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

The Senior Advanced Test Engineer will support the planning of technical approaches, resources, schedules, budgets and equipment required for the testing and evaluating of new systems, products and special devices. Utilizing your expert knowledge and understanding of test engineering concepts and principles, you'll prepare test and diagnostic programs, design test fixtures and equipment, and complete specifications and procedures throughout the engineering development lifecycle.

The Test Engineer is responsible for assisting in the design, development, and implementation of cost-effective methods for testing and troubleshooting hardware, software, and systems throughout all phases of product development and manufacturing. This role supports the generation of technical engineering products by using appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the system development life cycle. The Test Engineer executes test approaches, documents system verification, and keeps abreast of technology trends.

What you bring to the table:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, a related specialized area or field (or equivalent experience) plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience
  • Expert knowledge and experience with object-oriented programming, system processes and scripting languages (MATLAB, C, Python, etc.)
  • Expert knowledge in taking requirements and designing test hardware to meet the requirements
  • Experience working with design teams to influence design for testability
  • Demonstrated ability to diagnose and root cause issues in both hardware and software
  • Proven track record of generating and updating Test Plans, Test Procedures, and Test Reports
  • Experience in equipment obsolescence and making design choices for upgrading obsolete equipment
  • Openly contributes to the development of new theories and methods to enhance productivity and efficiency, solicits input, and optimizes solutions
  • Ability and willingness to help anticipate and shape business opportunities
  • Outstanding communication skills for frequent contact with managers, project teams across the company and external customers and vendors

Combined Salary Range

USD $132,500.00 - USD $142,500.00 /Yr.
