Project Manager/Sr. Consultant

Description

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager/Sr. Consultant to join our team in Tempe, Arizona. This role involves leading and managing complex IT projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, and delivering results within defined timelines. As this is a long-term contract position, we seek an individual who can bring strategic insights and hands-on expertise to drive successful project outcomes.

Responsibilities:
Lead and oversee the execution of large-scale IT projects, ensuring they meet scope, schedule, and budget requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align project objectives with business goals and deliverables.
Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and status reports to track progress and address potential risks.
Utilize Agile Scrum methodologies to guide project teams through iterative development cycles.
Mentor and guide team members to foster growth and enhance project performance.
Present project updates, challenges, and strategic recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
Manage relationships with vendors and third-party consultants to ensure seamless project execution.
Implement change management processes to address evolving project requirements.
Optimize project budgets and resources to maximize efficiency and value.
Leverage project management tools such as Atlassian Jira to track tasks and deliverables effectively.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT project management, with a proven ability to lead enterprise-level initiatives.
Strong understanding of IT systems, processes, and concepts to manage technical projects effectively.
Certification such as PMP or an equivalent credential.
Demonstrated expertise in Agile methodologies and tools like Atlassian Jira.
Proven ability to delegate tasks while maintaining overall project control.
Exceptional communication skills for engaging with stakeholders and presenting updates.
Advanced problem-solving abilities to address challenges and implement innovative solutions.
Strategic thinking skills to align IT initiatives with broader organizational goals.
