Job Details

We are seeking a Senior IT Infrastructure & Systems Engineer with deep, hands-on experience across networking, servers, cloud platforms, and security systems. This role is ideal for a highly capable technical professional who thrives in complex environments, can operate independently, solve challenging infrastructure issues, and lead by example in both technical execution and customer service.

As a senior member of the engineering team, you will serve as a primary escalation point, lead infrastructure projects, and mentor junior technicians while supporting a diverse portfolio of client environments.

Key Responsibilities
Design, configure, troubleshoot, and optimize complex IT infrastructure environments.
Act as the senior escalation resource for advanced networking, server, cloud, and infrastructure issues.
Lead infrastructure deployments, upgrades, migrations, and modernization initiatives.
Administer, support, and optimize Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Azure environments.
Install, configure, and troubleshoot both physical and virtual server infrastructure.
Deliver exceptional technical support through both remote and onsite engagements.
Mentor and develop Tier 1 and Tier 2 engineers through technical guidance and knowledge sharing.
Maintain detailed technical documentation and communicate effectively with both clients and internal teams.

Advanced Networking

Expert-level experience configuring and troubleshooting enterprise networking environments including:
Cisco
Meraki
Dell Networking
HP ProCurve
Aruba
Ubiquiti

Strong understanding of:
VLANs
Routing
VPNs
Firewall configuration
Network segmentation
Servers & Virtualization
Physical server deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting
VMware ESXi
Microsoft Hyper-V
Storage platforms including Synology NAS, Dell EMC, or similar enterprise storage
Backup, replication, and disaster recovery solutions
Microsoft Cloud & Azure

Deep hands-on administration of:
Microsoft 365
Exchange Online
SharePoint
Microsoft Teams
Intune
Entra ID (Azure Active Directory)

Azure experience including:
Virtual Networks
Virtual Machines
Identity & Access Management

Ability to independently design, deploy, administer, and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure.

Security & Access Control Systems

Experience supporting physical security and access control solutions such as:
Paxton Net2
ProdataKey
Turing
Milestone
Axis
Hikvision
Comparable enterprise security platforms

Understanding of complete system deployments including:
Controllers
Cameras
Cabling
System integrations
Peripherals

Experience supporting:
Printers
Scanners
Copiers

Ability to diagnose both software and hardware-related issues, including internal component troubleshooting.

Telephony
Hands-on administration of:
Avaya Cloud Office
Avaya IP Office

Experience with:
User provisioning
Call routing
Auto attendants
SIP trunking
Extensions
Hunt groups
On-premises integrations

Ability to troubleshoot VoIP performance issues including:
Latency
Jitter
Packet loss

Experience migrating legacy telephony environments to cloud-based solutions with minimal downtime.

Qualifications
10+ years of hands-on IT infrastructure and systems engineering experience.
Demonstrated ability to independently configure, troubleshoot, and support complex IT environments.
Excellent customer-facing communication and technical documentation skills.
Experience supporting multiple client environments; MSP experience is strongly preferred.
Proven ability to lead technical projects and mentor junior engineers.
Preferred Certifications
Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert
Microsoft 365 Administrator Expert
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent
