Summary

Job Title: Databricks Admin Location: Fully Remote

Role Summary:
  • Databricks Administrator responsible for managing, monitoring, and optimizing cloud data platforms.
  • The role includes handling cluster performance, CI/CD deployments, environment health, and architectural improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and monitor Databricks environments and clusters
  • Analyze and resolve cluster performance issues and spikes
  • Review and optimize architecture for performance and scalability
  • Support CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes
  • Configure and maintain platform settings, including Unity Catalog and metastore
  • Troubleshoot issues, create tickets, and drive resolution
Technical Skills
  • 10+ years of experience in Databricks administration or cloud data platforms
  • Strong hands-on experience with Azure Databricks
Expertise in:
  • Cluster & workspace administration
  • Unity Catalog and metastore configuration
  • Delta Lake and Lakehouse architecture
  • Databricks REST APIs, CLI, and Terraform
  • Spark configuration and performance tuning
  • Understanding of IAM, networking, and cloud security
Cloud & Tools:
  • Proficiency in Azure data services
  • Knowledge of cloud storage (ADLS, S3, GCS)
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
Programming / Scripting:
  • Working knowledge of Python, SQL, Bash, PowerShell, or similar
