Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Director, Database Operations:- Lead and mentor senior database administrators and engineering teams, ensuring operational excellence and reliability.
- Oversee enterprise-level operations for SQL Server and MySQL (RDS/Aurora) in high-volume payment processing environments.
- Drive database modernization initiatives with a focus on cloud environments, particularly AWS.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as PCI DSS and SOX. Develop and implement strategies for high availability, disaster recovery, and performance tuning.
Required Skills for Director, Database Operations:- Over 5 years of leadership experience in database or infrastructure operations. Expertise in SQL Server (2016+) and MySQL/Aurora, with a strong background in performance tuning and optimization.
- Proven experience managing 24/7 high-availability production environments. Strong skills in incident management and root-cause analysis.
- Familiarity with cloud database environments and regulatory compliance frameworks.
