Education Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Candidates pursuing or holding a degree in Science, Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, or a related technical field are strongly preferred.
- Basic knowledge of laboratory practices, scientific methods, data collection, and data analysis.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
Experience Requirements
- Experience working in a laboratory, research, quality, testing, or technical environment preferred.
- Familiarity with laboratory testing equipment, machine interfaces, and data analysis tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present findings and provide project updates.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, multitasking, and analytical skills.
Physical Capabilities
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout a laboratory environment.
- Capable of handling laboratory materials, samples, and testing equipment safely.
- Ability to perform repetitive testing procedures and accurately record results.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain compliance with safety protocols and laboratory procedures.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced research environment.
Job Duties
- Perform laboratory testing on materials, commercial products, and research and development samples.
- Conduct physical testing procedures, including tensile testing, microscopy analysis, and other laboratory evaluations.
- Collect, analyze, document, and report test data while maintaining accurate records.
- Prepare technical reports, data summaries, trial reports, presentations, and project updates.
- Collaborate with scientists, engineers, and research teams to support product development and testing initiatives.
- Follow all laboratory safety procedures and contribute to a safe, organized, and compliant work environment.
- Support research projects by identifying trends, documenting findings, and assisting with continuous improvement efforts.
- Communicate test results and project status updates clearly and professionally while meeting established deadlines.
