Test Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Test Engineer in Jersey City, NJ.

Responsibilities:
* Test Engineer will develop, maintain, and execute automated and functional test cases
* Design and enhance test automation frameworks to improve test coverage and efficiency
* Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and support quality assurance initiatives
* Perform defect analysis, troubleshooting, and root cause identification
* As a Test Engineer, you will create and execute database validation tests using SQL queries
* Collaborate with development, QA, and business teams throughout the software development lifecycle
* Participate in Agile ceremonies and coordinate effectively across distributed teams
* Continuously improve testing processes, tools, and quality standards

REQUIREMENTS:
* Strong experience with automated testing and test automation tools such as Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, and Cucumber
* Experience with CI/CD technologies including Jenkins, CloudBees, Bitbucket, Git, and Jira
* Experience with functional testing methodologies and software testing best practices
* Solid understanding of databases with the ability to write and optimize SQL queries
* Familiarity with Agile development environments and onsite/offshore collaboration models
* Proficiency in Java programming
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
* Excellent attention to detail and commitment to software quality
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Proven ability to work effectively in collaborative, team-oriented environments
* Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
