IT Asset Specialist

Role Type: Contract

Work Arrangement: 100% On-site

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Interview Mode: On-site

Shift: EST (Full-time)

Asset Lifecycle Management: Update metadata required for asset tracking and add newly acquired hardware into the management system.

ServiceNow Integration: Reassign assets based on ServiceNow incident tickets to ensure internal equipment requests are fulfilled promptly.

Inventory Control: Append asset tags to new equipment and maintain a highly organized workspace and storage area.

Disposal Coordination: Organize and coordinate the secure disposal of outdated computer and networking equipment.

Reconciliation & Reporting: Generate reports from the asset management system to assist in biennium reconciliation efforts.

Technical Support & Logistics: Provide mobile AV support, and handle the physical unpackaging and movement of IT equipment.

Asset Tracking: 4+ years of experience updating metadata and managing asset reassignment via ticket-based systems (e.g., ServiceNow).

Equipment Handling: 4+ years of experience in physical inventory tasks, including tagging, unpackaging, and moving network/desktop hardware.

Disposal Logistics: 4+ years of experience coordinating the decommissioning and disposal of outdated IT equipment.

Technical Reporting: 4+ years of experience generating reports for reconciliation and inventory audits.

AV Support: 4+ years of experience providing mobile audio-visual support.

Soft Skills: Strong analytical abilities, excellent customer service, and clear written/spoken communication.

Local Residency: Candidates must be currently located in Ohio.

Security: Selected candidates are required to undergo a Fingerprint background check.

Equipment Policy: Strictly prohibited to take or use government equipment outside of the United States.

Environment: Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and perform physical tasks related to equipment movement.
