The candidate will be responsible for developing electrical architectures, power control systems, safety circuits, detailed engineering drawings, and bills of materials while ensuring compliance with applicable electrical safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop complete electrical system architectures for semiconductor equipment, including AC power, DC power supplies, I/O controls, and safety systems.

  • Design and develop electrical schematics, cable harnesses, wiring diagrams, 2D drawings, and bills of materials.

  • Perform electrical and control system design using E3, EPLAN, AutoCAD, OrCAD, and related engineering tools.

  • Develop and troubleshoot PLC programs, servo motor systems, amplifiers, and closed-loop control systems.

  • Configure and tune servo drives using appropriate PID/PIV control methods.

  • Design power circuits, temperature control systems, and electrical interlocks.

  • Integrate temperature, pressure, flow, and vibration sensors into equipment control systems.

  • Work with thermocouples, RTDs, pyrometers, and fiber-optic probes for temperature measurement applications.

  • Support electrical and electromechanical design involving pneumatic valves, servo valves, pressure regulators, and heating systems.

  • Implement industrial communication interfaces, including Ethernet, DeviceNet, EtherCAT, and RS232/RS485.

  • Ensure electrical designs comply with applicable IEC, NEMA, NFPA, UL, NEC, and SEMI S2 requirements.

  • Conduct engineering analysis, feasibility studies, proof-of-concept activities, design verification, and validation.

  • Troubleshoot complex electrical and control system issues and document engineering test reports.

  • Lead engineering projects, coordinate with suppliers, and establish design standards and best practices.

  • Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, cycle time, and troubleshooting efficiency.
