We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Civil Transportation Engineer to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent position offering a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in the design and implementation of complex transportation systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the planning, design, and management of transportation projects, including highways, bridges, transit systems, and other related infrastructure. This role requires a deep understanding of civil engineering principles, a strong commitment to sustainable design, and a passion for creating transportation solutions that enhance the quality of life in our communities.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead the planning, design, and implementation of transportation projects, including highways, bridges, transit systems, and other related infrastructure.
2. Conduct feasibility studies and environmental impact assessments for proposed transportation projects.
3. Develop and implement innovative design solutions that meet project objectives and regulatory requirements.
4. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of engineers, planners, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
5. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and other team members.
6. Prepare and present detailed reports and presentations to clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies.
7. Monitor project progress and ensure that project deliverables are completed on time and within budget.
8. Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in transportation engineering.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. A Master's Degree is preferred.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation engineering, with a focus on the design and management of complex transportation projects.
3. Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
4. Proficiency in using engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and other related software.
5. Strong knowledge of transportation engineering principles, design standards, and regulatory requirements.
6. Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop innovative design solutions.
8. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to non-technical audiences.
9. Strong commitment to sustainable design and a passion for creating transportation solutions that enhance the quality of life in our communities.
