Summary

At Aptiv Interconnect, we inspire the world’s most innovative teams by doing the right thing, the right way. We are seeking a Senior IT Manager to lead and oversee the IT operations across multiple manufacturing sites in our RFM organization.

Each site has a dedicated IT Operations Specialist, who will report directly to this role. The Senior IT Manager will focus on creating and implementing standardized IT processes, driving technology improvements, and aligning IT strategies to meet the operational goals of each location. This role requires a strong leader who can effectively manage a distributed team, enhance collaboration, and ensure uniformity and compliance in IT operations across all sites.

Leadership & Core Responsibilities:

  • Drive uniformity in IT operations across multiple manufacturing sites by developing and implementing standardized policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Lead complex IT projects across all sites, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives, on-time completion, and adherence to quality standards.
  • Set and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess IT performance across sites, focusing on uptime, system efficiency, and security compliance.
  • Oversee budgets, ensuring cost-effective technology utilization, compliance with licensing, and strategic resource allocation.
  • Partner with senior leadership and operational managers to understand business needs and translate them into IT strategies.
  • Facilitate regular communication and best practice sharing among site IT Managers, fostering a cohesive team approach across all locations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external vendors, ensuring cost-effective contracts and timely support for hardware, software, and IT services.
  • Mentor and develop IT Managers at each site, empowering them with decision-making authority within defined parameters and fostering a collaborative IT culture.
  • Encourage IT teams to propose improvements in technology use and support operational efficiency. Lead efforts to adopt new technologies that add value to the business.
  • Create development programs for IT Managers, ensuring they have the tools and knowledge to excel and lead effectively within their sites.

Education & Technical Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of IT management experience, preferably in a multi-site manufacturing or industrial environment, including direct management of site-level IT Managers.
  • Demonstrated expert-level knowledge of NIST 800-171 standards and CMMC frameworks to ensure government and contractual compliance. Responsible for auditing and oversight—ensuring that all sites are meeting CMMC readiness.
  • Proven success in creating and implementing standardized IT processes, policies, and protocols across multiple locations to align with corporate operational goals.
  • Comprehensive hands-on proficiency in network infrastructure, cybersecurity (including Tanium, Crowdstrike, and Rapid7), cloud computing, and enterprise systems.
  • Extensive hands-on IT experience with hypervisor technologies (e.g., VMware ESXi/vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V) to manage and optimize virtualized server environments.
  • Accountable for developing and aligning the IT roadmap with enterprise-wide security programs and policies.
  • Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills, with a proven ability to mentor and develop both in-person and remote site IT Managers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Total Rewards & Compensation

  • Base Salary Range: $140,000 – $160,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
  • Incentive Compensation: AIP target 10%
  • Benefits & Perks: Employees receive a comprehensive benefits package featuring health coverage, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, and career development resources.
