Position Details:

Manufacturing Engineer- Minnetonka, MN

Location : Minnetonka, MN 55345 (100% Onsite)

Project Duration: 6-12 Months of contract

Shift : 3:30 PM - 2:00 AM (Mon-Fri)

Pay Rate : $42.00 per hour on W2

Job summary:

  • HM is looking to convert this candidate in 6-12 months depending on worker performance/attendance and business need.
  • 3 4 years of experience is the ideal range
  • Background in high-volume manufacturing environments (e.g., regulated industries like medical devices, aerospace, or large-scale factory production preferred)

  • The Manufacturing Engineer applies strong technical skills and knowledge of manufacturing operations to lead and execute complex engineering tasks. This role requires proactive problem-solving, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to drive improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and take ownership of complex manufacturing engineering tasks that may involve multiple interrelated elements.
  • Anticipate and identify key technical issues; develop recommendations and solutions even when no precedent exists.
  • Apply creative thinking and introduce new methods or approaches to resolve problems.
  • Evaluate and consider impacts on related systems, equipment, and processes when implementing changes.
  • Collaborate with peers, technicians, and mentors through reviews of technical rationale, verification, and validation activities.
  • Support manufacturing operations by troubleshooting issues, improving processes, and optimizing equipment performance.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S, A3 problem solving, standard work, waste reduction, and efficiency projects.
  • Ensure alignment with business objectives and maintain understanding of company operations and manufacturing environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Software, or related discipline).
  • 0 5 years of experience in an engineering role, or equivalent advanced education.
  • Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively across teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead tasks independently and drive results.
