W2 Role - Drupal Developer

About the Role

We're looking for a Drupal Developer with hands-on API integration experience to build, maintain, and extend our Drupal-based websites/applications while connecting them to external systems and services.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, customize, and maintain Drupal sites/modules (custom module development, theming, configuration management)

• Integrate Drupal with external systems via REST/SOAP APIs

• Build and consume API endpoints for data exchange (JSON/XML) between Drupal and third-party platforms

• Implement API authentication (OAuth, API keys, tokens)

• Handle request/response logic, error handling, and troubleshooting for integrations

• Optimize site performance, security, and upgrades (including major version migrations, e.g., Drupal 7/8/9 10)

• Collaborate with designers, backend developers, and stakeholders on feature builds

• Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code following Drupal best practices

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience building/maintaining Drupal websites (Drupal 8/9/10)

• Strong PHP skills and familiarity with Drupal's module/theme architecture

• Hands-on experience integrating external APIs (REST, JSON, authentication, error handling)

• Experience with Drupal's core APIs (Entity API, Views, Form API, etc.)

• Familiarity with Composer, Drush, and Git

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with headless/decoupled Drupal (JSON:API, GraphQL)

• Familiarity with Python or JavaScript for scripting/automation
