About the job :

My direct client is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer with 12+ years of overall IT experience, including 6 - 8 years in DevOps engineering. You will play a central role in designing and evolving our enterprise-scale CI/CD platform to support cloud-native, secure, and highly automated software delivery. Leveraging tools like GitHub, Jenkins, SonarQube, Snyk, Nexus Repository Manager, ArgoCD, Helm charts, you ll build reusable automation frameworks, scalable pipelines, and self-service capabilities.

Your mission is to modernize and deliver a future-ready, cloud-native DevOps platform that accelerates developer productivity, enforces security and compliance, and seamlessly scales from legacy on-prem environments to cloud-native architecture.
Responsibilities:

CI/CD Platform Design & Evolution

  • Design and evolve enterprise-grade CI/CD pipelines (as code) to enable secure, cloud-native delivery.
  • Modernize platforms by implementing next-gen CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, or similar platform) alongside existing Jenkins pipelines.
  • Deliver reusable, modular templates and drive adoption of self-service, standardized software delivery patterns across the enterprise.

Infrastructure as Code & Automation

  • Develop Infrastructure as Code modules (Helm Charts) for Kubernetes for repeatable and consistent environment provisioning.
  • Implement GitOps workflows with ArgoCD to enable repeatable, declarative, and consistent containerized application delivery.
  • Build and maintain Terraform modules to automate provisioning of cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalability, security, and consistency across environments.

Cloud & DevOps Expertise

  • Design, deploy, and operate enterprise-grade CI/CD pipelines in cloud environments.
  • Combine cloud-native services with best-in-class DevOps tools to deliver secure, automated pipelines with observability and scalability.

DevSecOps Integration

  • Integrate SonarQube, Snyk, and policy-as-code controls into pipelines to ensure security, quality, and compliance gates.
  • Partner with security teams to embed vulnerability scanning and automated remediation workflows.

AI-Augmented DevOps

  • Leverage AI/LLM tools to generate pipeline scripts, IaC templates.
  • Use anomaly detection, predictive analytics, and self-healing workflows to optimize reliability, reduce toil, and accelerate recovery.

Collaboration & Enablement

  • Collaborate with developers, SREs, and platform engineers, security, and infrastructure teams to architect DevOps solutions and onboard applications into standardized pipelines.
  • Drive adoption of best practices through training, enablement, and hands-on guidance.

Requirement:

  • 12+ years of overall IT experience, including 6 8 years in DevOps engineering and CI/CD platform management.
  • Strong hands-on expertise with CI/CD platforms and tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, ArgoCD, SonarQube, and Snyk.
  • Expertise in Kubernetes and containerized application delivery leveraging Helm charts and GitOps patterns.
  • Deep knowledge of Terraform for Infrastructure as Code, along with automation scripting skills in Python, Groovy, or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing DevSecOps practices, including policy-as-code, security scanning, and artifact governance.
  • Solid knowledge of at least one major cloud provider (AWS or Azure).
  • You should be a strong communicator and a true team player comfortable partnering across diverse technology domains to deliver shared outcomes

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with modern CI/CD platforms (e.g., GitHub Actions, or similar) and cloud-native delivery at scale.
  • Certifications in Kubernetes (CKA, CKAD), Terraform, or related domains.
  • Cloud certification (e.g., DevOps Engineer, Solutions Architect) or comparable credential.
  • Experience building developer productivity accelerators such as self-service tooling, reusable automation, and internal developer portals.
  • Strong background in developer enablement and advocacy through training, workshops, documentation, and feedback loops that drive enterprise-wide DevOps adoption.
