Job Details:
1. Ceph Storage Engineering: Expert / Advanced
- Design, deploy, operate, troubleshoot, and scale Ceph clusters.
- Strong understanding of:
- MON, MGR, OSD, MDS
- RBD
- CephFS
- RGW / object storage
- CRUSH maps and failure domains
- Pools, placement groups, replication and erasure coding
- Diagnose:
- degraded/undersized PGs
- slow OSDs
- recovery/backfill problems
- capacity imbalance
- latency and throughput bottlenecks
- Understand storage networking, disk/SSD/NVMe characteristics, failure scenarios and performance tuning.
- Ability to design Ceph for large production virtualization workloads, rather than simply administer an existing cluster.
2. Proxmox VE: Advanced
Candidate should be able to:
- Design and administer multi-node Proxmox VE clusters.
- Deploy and manage KVM virtual machines.
- Understand Proxmox clustering and quorum.
- Integrate Proxmox with Ceph-backed storage.
- Configure Linux bridges, VLANs, bonding, and storage/network separation.
- Troubleshoot cluster, compute, storage, and VM problems.
- Plan node maintenance and workload evacuation.
- Design HA and failure-domain strategies.
- Perform or plan migrations from VMware/OpenStack into Proxmox.
- Understand backup/recovery architecture for Proxmox environments.
- Automate VM provisioning and lifecycle management through APIs/IaC.
