Business Analyst (Agile / Azure DevOps / Power BI)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join a full lifecycle Agile development team in Tallahassee, FL. The selected candidate will work closely with SMEs, technical teams, and stakeholders to translate strategic and operational needs into clear business and technical requirements.

This role requires strong expertise in business process analysis, documentation, testing coordination, and demand prioritization in an enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Research and document business processes and system interdependencies
• Perform as-is / to-be analysis, process modeling, and gap analysis
• Develop business cases, cost-benefit analyses, feasibility studies, and funding documentation
• Gather high-level requirements and translate them into detailed functional and technical specifications
• Create use cases, test cases, business rules, and technical documentation
• Support testing efforts (regression, functional, integration, performance, data validation)
• Work with Agile teams to manage requirements and backlogs using Azure DevOps
• Conduct impact analysis and prioritize demands based on business value and strategic alignment
• Assist in modernization, remediation, and data migration initiatives
• Develop executive-level summaries and stakeholder presentations
• Utilize reporting tools such as Power BI for data analysis and metrics reporting

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Communication, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Minimum 5+ years of Business Process Analysis and Systems Analysis experience
• Strong knowledge of SDLC and Agile methodologies
• Proficiency with:
• MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Visio (process mapping/modeling)
• Power BI
• Experience with data migration
• Strong understanding of translating business requirements into technical specifications
• Experience with testing methodologies and QA tools

Highly Desired Skills

• Agile project experience
• Experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps
• Knowledge of change and release management
• Knowledge of Florida Administrative Code (Rules 60GG-1 – 60GG-5)
• Knowledge of PMBOK principles
