Principal Consultant

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Fitchburg, WI that is seeking a Principal Consultant who can independently lead complex engagements, advise healthcare executives, and translate business strategy into actionable digital transformation solutions. This is an engagement leadership role, not simply an advisory, business analysis, or hands-on technical implementation position. The ideal candidate is comfortable in C-suite conversations, skilled at uncovering underlying business needs, and able to turn complex challenges into practical strategies and solutions.

Responsibilities:
* Principal Consultant will lead strategic conversations with C-suite executives and senior leaders across healthcare, patient/member experience, operations, marketing, data, and technology
* Own complex engagements from discovery and problem definition through strategy, delivery oversight, and executive recommendations
* Translate organizational goals into transformation strategies, roadmaps, operating models, and measurable initiatives
* Lead assessments across business processes, CRM, marketing technology, data, enterprise integrations, and operating models
* Develop future-state strategies and evaluate solution options, dependencies, risks, trade-offs, and business value
* Provide strategic direction to consulting and technical teams while partnering with project managers on scope, resources, timelines, and risks
* Lead executive workshops and strategy sessions, translating complex findings into clear, actionable recommendations
* As a Principal Consultant, you will build trusted relationships with executives and cross-functional stakeholders
* Navigate ambiguity, stakeholder dynamics, and organizational barriers while maintaining accountability for outcomes
* Identify opportunities to expand engagements and contribute to proposals, scopes, and statements of work

REQUIREMENTS:
* Significant progressive experience in healthcare consulting, management consulting, digital transformation, technology strategy, or enterprise solution delivery
* Demonstrated independent leadership of complex engagements from problem definition through recommendations and delivery
* Experience advising C-suite and senior leaders and managing complex cross-functional stakeholder dynamics
* Strong fluency in enterprise technology ecosystems, systems integration, data flows, and implementation trade-offs
* Exceptional executive communication, workshop facilitation, analytical thinking, judgment, and client relationship skills
* Commercial awareness, an ownership mindset, and the ability to operate independently within a growing consulting environment
* Ability to structure ambiguous problems and develop future-state strategies, technology roadmaps, operating models, and actionable recommendations
* Ability to lead multidisciplinary technical and consulting teams without being the hands-on platform implementer

Preferred:
* Experience with healthcare CRM, patient access, contact center, patient experience, digital engagement, marketing, or data strategy
* Experience with platforms such as Salesforce, Epic, Oracle Health/Cerner, MEDITECH, or HubSpot
* Experience developing operating models, transformation strategies, roadmaps, or capability assessments
* Experience supporting large-scale operational or technology transformation

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
