Patient Financial Representative Senior

Role Summary

• Support the Revenue Cycle division by ensuring timely and accurate account resolution
• Responsible for reconciliation of outstanding patient account balances
• Perform end-to-end follow-up on patient financial accounts to meet productivity and quality standards

Key Responsibilities

• Perform Accounts Receivable (A/R) follow-up on patient accounts
• Handle insurance claims, billing, appeals, and eligibility verification
• Ensure account resolution through accurate documentation and reconciliation
• Communicate with patients and payors via written, verbal, and electronic correspondence
• Collect and validate patient and insurance information to resolve balances
• Meet or exceed CHRISTUS Health revenue cycle performance metrics
• Adhere to OneCHRISTUS competencies (Leader of Self/Others as applicable)
• Maintain departmental quality and productivity standards

Required Experience

• Healthcare experience is mandatory
• 3–5 years of experience in a hospital business office environment (multi-facility preferred)
• Experience with:
• Insurance claims processing
• Healthcare billing and collections
• Inpatient & outpatient billing workflows

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior insurance company claims experience
• Knowledge of:
• UB-04 billing forms
• HCFA 1500 billing forms
