Job Overview:
The SAP Basis team is seeking enthusiastic System Administrators to play a key role in the implementation, optimization, migration, and maintenance of SAP Product Suites running on ABAP, Java, BO, and Cloud stacks.

Responsibilities:
- Serve as part of the Basis Engineering Team, taking complete ownership of one or multiple SAP landscapes such as ECC, S/4 HANA, Business Objects, Information Steward, Data Services, SLT, BI, IBP Cloud, SCM, etc.
- Ensure efficient planning, provisioning, installation, configuration, maintenance, and operations of owned applications and databases.
- Maintain continuous system health and stability, working proactively to identify and eliminate potential performance bottlenecks.
- Partner with several Agile Persistent Teams (APTs) and Agile Release Trains (ARTs) in a global setting to gather, assess, and clarify technical requirements for the SAP Platform.
- Map technical requirements to system capabilities, convert requirements into technical specifications, and recommend optimal platform solutions for SAP projects.
- Perform proof-of-concepts and pilots on upcoming design projects, document findings, establish processes for new capabilities, and create troubleshooting guides.
- Provide Level 3 On-call support for SAP Basis and SQL Server databases.
- Manage periodic planned maintenance downtimes on systems, ensuring smooth execution through proactive planning.
- Independently perform major software (EHP, Support Pack), hardware (OS/DB), and Kernel upgrades on complex landscapes comprising clusters and high-availability servers and storage.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5+ years of SAP Basis Administration experience (Implementation & support).
- Knowledge of SAP System architecture, Application Server (AS) ABAP, and Application Server (AS) Java.
- Experience with SAP ERP, SCM, CRM, SRM, SAP Solution Manager, MDG, PO/PI/XI, BO/BI, IS/DS, SLT, Fiori, and S/4 HANA solutions.
- Understanding of infrastructure security (enabling SNC, SSL) and implementation of Single Sign-On (SSO).
- Knowledge of SAP Solution Manager concepts.
- Knowledge of communication techniques including RFC and OData via SAP Gateway.
- Proficiency in Windows Server 2016/2019 Administration.
- Experience with MS SQL Server database administration.
- Knowledge of MS Cluster and High Availability concepts.
- Expertise in database administration, optimization, and migration (HANA, MSSQL).
- Proficiency in software maintenance, monitoring, configuring log/trace files, and installing Enhancement Packs and support packages.
- Knowledge of Data Center network and storage fundamentals.
- Self-motivated fast learner with strong collaboration skills, comfortable working in ambiguous environments, and capable of making quick, informed decisions during crisis situations.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-geographical teams and interact with global stakeholders.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Understanding of running SAP on Azure and AWS is a plus.
- Knowledge of ITIL Service Management and DevOps tools (Service Now, JIRA) is a plus.
- Automation skills in PowerShell, Python, or RPA tools are a significant plus.
