Summary

Job Title: Data Architect (Data Modeling / Integration)

Location: Atlanta, GA (Hybrid)
Employment Type: Contract

Key Responsibilities:

Lead client engagement and guide teams in analyzing legacy systems and integration requirements
Reverse engineer existing data models, ETL processes, and data pipelines
Profile and assess data quality, structure, and usage across systems
Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models
Define data relationships, flows, and entity structures
Ensure data integrity, normalization, and consistency
Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, and engineering teams
Design and implement schemas in relational (SQL) and NoSQL databases
Optimize database performance, indexing, and query efficiency
Support ETL processes for data migration and system integration
Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and regulatory standards (GDPR, HIPAA)
Present architectural solutions and recommendations to stakeholders
Define target-state data model and oversee migration strategy

Required Skills:

8+ years of experience in data architecture / system architecture / professional services
3+ years working with databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL)
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
Strong expertise in data modeling and SQL
Experience with ETL processes and data pipeline design
Experience with Power BI and DAX for data visualization
Strong understanding of data governance, compliance, and security frameworks
Ability to analyze and modernize legacy data systems

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience as a System Architect or Data Architect
Experience in data transformation / system integration projects
Exposure to financial services or healthcare domain
