Location-Remote

Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Automation Test Engineer to lead the design, development, and maintenance of automated testing solutions that ensure the quality and reliability of software applications. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in test automation frameworks, API and UI testing, CI/CD integration, and mentoring junior QA engineers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks and scripts.
  • Create and execute automated test cases for web, mobile, and API applications.
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners to understand requirements and define test strategies.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
  • Analyze test results, identify defects, and work closely with development teams to resolve issues.
  • Review test cases, automation scripts, and QA processes to ensure best practices.
  • Mentor and guide junior automation engineers.
  • Improve testing processes and drive automation best practices across projects.
  • Prepare test reports, quality metrics, and documentation.

Required Skills

  • Strong experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or Appium.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript.
  • Experience with API testing using Postman, Rest Assured, or similar tools.
  • Hands-on experience with test frameworks such as TestNG, JUnit, NUnit, or PyTest.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
  • Knowledge of Git and version control systems.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile, and Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience with defect tracking tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
  • Knowledge of SQL and database testing.
  • Experience testing cloud-based and microservices applications.
  • ISTQB or equivalent testing certification is an advantage.
