Shift: Monday–Friday | 5:00 PM – 1:30 AM (based on production schedule)

Role Summary

The CNC Operator / Machine Operator is responsible for fabricating aluminum components and operating polishing and machining equipment to meet customer specifications and quality standards. This role requires experience with CNC programming, machine setup, precision measurement, and safe material handling in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan machining operations by reviewing work orders, blueprints, and specifications

• Program CNC mills and lathes, including tool offsets, zero points, compensation, and part verification

• Set up, operate, and calibrate CNC machines and polishing equipment

• Grind and polish glass or aluminum components to specification

• Verify dimensions using precision measuring tools and tape measures

• Strap, move, and stage materials safely for production flow

• Perform daily equipment inspections and routine preventive maintenance

• Document production results, quality checks, and shift handoffs

• Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate repairs as needed

• Maintain compliance with all safety procedures and quality standards

• Support continuous improvement initiatives and additional duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Prior CNC machining experience required

• Minimum 1 year of experience in manufacturing, production, or industrial operations preferred

• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail

• Ability to read blueprints, work orders, and basic technical documentation

• Solid math skills, including geometry and measurement interpretation

• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs unassisted and up to 150 lbs with assistance

• Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment

• Dependable, team-oriented, and able to follow instructions
