Job Overview

Our client is seeking a Senior Pega Infrastructure Engineer with deep expertise in deploying and administering the Pega Platform on Private Cloud environments. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience externalizing Pega services such as Kafka and Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, containerizing Pega applications, and building scalable AWS-based infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support Pega Platform infrastructure in Private Cloud environments
• Configure and manage Pega externalized services including Apache Kafka and Elasticsearch/OpenSearch
• Deploy and administer containerized Pega applications using Docker, Kubernetes, Amazon EKS, and Helm
• Build and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS
• Manage highly available Kafka environments: topic management, partitioning, replication, security, monitoring
• Manage OpenSearch/Elasticsearch clusters, indexing, retention, and search optimization
• Implement infrastructure automation using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar IaC tools
• Support production environments, incident management, performance tuning, and disaster recovery
• Collaborate with application, DevOps, security, and architecture teams

• Apache Kafka / Amazon MSK — topic management, SSL/TLS, SASL, IAM, ACLs
• Elasticsearch / OpenSearch cluster management
• Docker, Kubernetes, Amazon EKS
• AWS Cloud Services — EC2, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch
• Linux administration and shell scripting
• CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)

• AWS certifications
• Monitoring tools: CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, ELK/OpenSearch
