Role: Desktop Support Technician - Must be a Wisconsin resident

Location: Madison, WI

Duration: One Year Contract with possibility of extensions

IRG Clients is seeking a Desktop Support Technician with at least 2 years of experience providing end-user technical support in a fast-paced enterprise environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong troubleshooting skills, excellent customer service abilities, and hands-on experience supporting desktop and laptop deployments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide remote and onsite technical support for desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices.
• Install, configure, image, deploy, and maintain computer hardware and software.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
• Assist users during device setup, migrations, and technology refresh projects.
• Manage inventory, equipment replacements, and proper disposal of retired devices.
• Document, track, and close support tickets while meeting service-level expectations.
• Travel periodically to support multiple locations and assist with project-based assignments.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of desktop support or IT support experience.
• Strong remote troubleshooting and technical problem-solving skills.
• Experience imaging and deploying Windows-based devices.
• Excellent customer service and end-user communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Strong multitasking, organizational, and time-management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Audio/Visual (AV) integration and support.
• Experience supporting enterprise hardware refresh and deployment projects.

Additional Requirements:

• Must be a Wisconsin resident and able to work 100% onsite.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods as needed.
• Flexible schedule availability, including occasional workdays exceeding 8 hours.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel between work locations when required.
