Business Process Engineering III (Remote)

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking an experienced Business Process Engineering III contractor to support a large-scale business process mapping and documentation initiative within our operations organization.

Summary:
The consultant will lead process discovery sessions, document complex end-to-end workflows, and help establish consistent business process documentation standards. A key component of the engagement will be coaching and training our Operations Project Team (OPT) on process mapping methodologies, facilitation techniques, and business process best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
* Facilitate process discovery workshops with business stakeholders and subject matter experts
* Document current-state and future-state business processes
* Develop process maps, swimlane diagrams, workflows, and supporting documentation
* Identify process handoffs, ownership, inputs, outputs, decision points, and system interactions
* Identify risks, bottlenecks, and opportunities
* Help standardize process documentation approaches, templates, and best practices
* Coach and train OPT team members on process mapping, process analysis, and workshop facilitation techniques
* Support knowledge transfer to enable the internal team to independently perform future process mapping efforts

REQUIREMENTS:
* 5+ years of business process mapping or business process engineering experience
* Insurance or financial services experience is must
* Proven experience facilitating workshops and documenting complex operational processes
* Strong experience with BPMN, swim lane diagrams, workflow mapping, and process documentation
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Ability to review existing job aids/procedures and convert them into process flows
* Ability to quickly understand and document cross-functional business processes

Preferred Qualifications:
* Lean, Six Sigma, Business Process Management (BPM), or related certifications
* Experience documenting operational processes across multiple teams, systems, and vendors
* Experience training or mentoring teams on business process methodologies

At the conclusion of the engagement, the consultant will have:
* Completed documentation for prioritized operational processes
* Delivered professional process maps and supporting documentation, including Level 0 (process landscape), Level 1 (end-to-end process maps), and Level 2 (sub-process maps) with risks, bottlenecks, and opportunities clearly documented
* Established process mapping standards and templates
* Trained OPT team members on process mapping and documentation best practices
* Increased the team's ability to independently facilitate and document future business processes

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
