ERP Test Validation Lead

The Test Validation Lead will oversee all testing activities for a large-scale enterprise transformation program involving NetSuite, Oracle Cloud, Appficiency, Master Data Management (MDM), and critical system integrations. This role ensures quality, data integrity, and seamless functionality across multiple platforms while leading testing strategy and execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Test Strategy & Planning: Develop comprehensive test strategies, plans, and schedules for NetSuite ERP, Oracle Cloud applications, MDM solution, and all integration points

• Orchestrates end-to-end quality assurance for implementations, defining test strategies, managing SIT / UAT cycles, and driving defect resolution.
• Bridge technical and functional teams leading automation efforts ensuring system performance, and managing cutover readiness to ensure high quality, stable go-lives.
• Strategy & Planning: Develop and own the comprehensive ERP testing strategy, including test plans, scenarios, and test data management for functional, integration, regression and performance testing.
• Defect Management: Oversee the bug tracking lifecycle using tools like JIRA, leading daily stand-ups and triage meetings.
• Cutover Preparation: Coordinate the technical and business readiness for final system cutover.
• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor and coordinate testing teams

• Test Leadership: Lead and mentor testing team members; coordinate with business analysts, developers, and project managers across workstreams
• Requirements Validation: Review business requirements and technical specifications to create detailed test scenarios, test cases, and acceptance criteria
• Integration Testing: Design and execute end-to-end integration testing across NetSuite, Oracle Cloud, Appficiency, and MDM platforms; validate data flow, transformations, and API functionality
• MDM Validation: Ensure master data accuracy, governance rules, and data quality standards across all systems; validate data migration and synchronization
• Test Execution: Oversee functional, regression, UAT, integration, and performance testing; manage defect lifecycle and resolution
• Automation: Identify opportunities for test automation; implement automated testing frameworks where applicable
• Quality Assurance: Establish quality gates and exit criteria; provide go/no-go recommendations for production deployments
• Reporting: Deliver regular status reports on test progress, defect metrics, risks, and quality indicators to stakeholders
• UAT Coordination: Partner with business users to facilitate User Acceptance Testing; ensure business readiness

• Business Unit & Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate activities across 15 business units, balancing local needs with enterprise standards. Partner with functional leaders (Accounting, Estimating, Job Costing HR, Operations, IT) to ensure readiness and adoption. Lead cross-functional alignment on process standardization and system design decisions. Drive executive communication, transparency, and decision-making cadence.
• Data, Testing and Cutover Oversight: Track Master Data Management strategy, data governance, and migration planning. Ensure integrated testing across systems (NetSuite, Oracle HCM, downstream applications). Lead cutover planning, go-live readiness assessments, and stabilization activities.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree in Information Systems, or a related field.
• Deep understanding of ERP modules )Finance, HR, Payroll)
• 7+ years of software testing experience with 3+ years in a lead or management role
• Proven experience testing ERP systems (NetSuite and/or Oracle Cloud preferred)
• Strong background in integration testing, API testing, and middleware platforms
• Experience with Master Data Management (MDM) implementations and data quality validation
• Expertise in test management tools (e.g., Jira)
• Knowledge of testing methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid)
• Experience with automation tools (Selenium, Postman, SoapUI, or similar)
• Strong SQL skills for data validation and database testing
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills
• Strong understanding of governance and compliance standards.
• Outstanding communication skills with ability to work with technical and business stakeholders
