Role Overview
We are seeking a US Federal Network Technical Consultant for a long-term contract position. This role requires extensive travel to various on-site locations and involves configuring, managing, and troubleshooting complex network environments. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in network design, routing, and security, with specific experience in technologies relevant to federal sector requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot network switches from a variety of manufacturers.
- Integrate network design with cloud architecture.
- Work with and troubleshoot VXLAN with EVPN.
- Utilize strong routing skills for tracing and troubleshooting (packet captures, OSPF, BGP).
- Implement and manage network security capabilities.
- Apply DoD STIG experience and familiarity with routing/switching SRGs.
Required Qualifications
Clearance: Candidates must be able to obtain and/or maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Security Clearance as a condition or continuation of employment.
Travel: Candidates must be able to obtain and/or maintain a valid passport, with the ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 80% of the time.
Technical Skills:- Familiarity with Cloud Architecture and Network Design integration.
- Experience with VXLAN with EVPN.
- NSX experience.
- Strong routing skills (packet captures, OSPF, BGP).
- Aruba Fabric Composer (AFC) and Aruba CX experience.
- Juniper routing/switching experience.
- Juniper vSRX Virtual Firewall skills and experience.
- DoD STIG experience.
- Network security capabilities, including Aruba ClearPass skills.
