Description: Job Title: Senior z/OS Systems Engineer
Location: Omaha, NE, Milwaukee, WI, Sioux Falls, SD, Des Moines, IA
Duration: Full-time
Overview: Join as a Senior z/OS Systems Engineer to design and implement automation solutions on mainframe systems. You'll support key internal clients, improve data quality, and deliver efficient utilities and batch processes. Work on multiple concurrent projects, drive modernization, and enhance customer experience across business units.
Responsibilities: - Build and maintain utilities and batch processes using REXX, TSO, ISPF, DB2, JCL
- Support and improve existing mainframe solutions
- Provide technical support for vendor applications (e.g., JCK, Infoman)
- Lead proof-of-concept projects for new tools
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions
- Identify and execute automation opportunities
Requirements: - Bachelors in computer science or equivalent experience
- 8+ years with z/OS, BMC Mainview, Broadcom OPS/MVS, TSO, ISPF
- 5+ years with REXX, DB2, JCL, SAS/WPS, Control-M, CA7, Endevor
Nice to have: - Experience with z/VM, IBM z Virtualization, z/OS UNIX shell
- Exposure to DevOps tools, CI/CD, Kubernetes, Ansible, Linux
- GitLab, Shell, Python scripting
- Team leadership on modernization projects
