Position Summary
4Consulting, Inc is seeking a qualified Software Developers to support technology consulting, application development, systems analysis, testing, data management, cybersecurity, infrastructure, or project delivery services for client projects. The selected candidate will perform duties consistent with the client’s project requirements and company delivery standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The candidate will be responsible for:
Design, develop, and implement API integrations using AWS API Gateway and related cloud services. Establish integration patterns to support secure, reliable, and scalable communication between enterprise applications and systems.
Develop and maintain middleware solutions using Apache Camel or comparable integration frameworks. Build and support scheduled batch file integrations, data pipelines, and high-volume data exchange processes across hybrid environments.
Implement integration capabilities for error handling, retries, logging, monitoring, and performance optimization. Troubleshoot interface issues involving certificates, TLS, authentication, authorization, connectivity, and data processing, and support production incident resolution.
Collaborate with application, infrastructure, security, and business teams to define integration requirements and solution designs. Maintain interface specifications, technical documentation, and operational runbooks while providing technical leadership and evaluating integration modernization opportunities.
Minimum Qualifications
The position requires:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience:
Experience designing, developing, and supporting cloud middleware and enterprise integration solutions using AWS API Gateway and Apache Camel or similar integration frameworks.
Hands-on experience with API development, batch file integrations, data pipelines, hybrid environments, production troubleshooting, and cloud-native integration services.
Technical Skills:
AWS API Gateway, Apache Camel, AWS Lambda, Amazon S3, AWS Step Functions, Amazon Event Bridge, Amazon SNS/SQS, PostgreSQL, REST APIs, CI/CD
Business / Domain Skills:
Experience supporting enterprise application integration and middleware environments involving secure data exchange, system interoperability, and communication across multiple business applications.
Experience designing and supporting batch file processing, scheduled data exchanges, high-volume integration workflows, and enterprise data movement between internal and external systems.
Experience supporting hybrid enterprise environments involving application interfaces, business workflows, data synchronization, and integration dependencies across multiple technology platforms.
Experience supporting public-sector or regulated business environments involving security requirements, compliance controls, auditability, and coordination among business, technical, infrastructure, and security stakeholders.
Communication:
Ability to communicate with technical and business stakeholders.
Documentation:
Ability to prepare project documentation, status updates, and deliverables.
Work Authorization:
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Sponsorship may be considered where permitted by company policy and project requirements.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with public-sector, government, or regulated industry integration initiatives, including solutions requiring established security, compliance, and architectural standards.
Strong understanding of API lifecycle management, event-driven architecture, messaging patterns, authentication and authorization, certificate management, and secure integration practices.
Experience evaluating integration technologies, modernizing middleware platforms, establishing reusable integration patterns, and mentoring technical team members.
