Job Details

We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join our thriving healthcare organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting month-end and year-end closes, and performing various other accounting duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist with and support the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
• Record all payroll-related journal entries and confirm reconciliation to cash
• Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, reclasses, and adjustments
• Perform credit card reconciliations, reviewing transactions for accuracy and proper coding
• Complete cash-related reconciliations, including bank accounts and cash clearing accounts
• Reconcile assigned general ledger accounts and investigate and resolve variances
• Support internal and external audit requests by preparing documentation and schedules
• Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting schedules
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and controls
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial data

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 1-3 years of accounting experience (public accounting or corporate experience preferred)
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and reconciliations
• Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPS preferred)
• Experience with ERP systems
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
