QA Lead Banking/Financial Services

Techstra is seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented QA Lead with a strong background in Banking or Financial Services Applications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of data/functionality across a legacy system, downstream consumption layers, and reports. You will work closely with data engineers, analysts, developers, and business stakeholders to validate client-facing applications, complex data pipelines, ETL processes, APIs, and reporting outputs, primarily utilizing the Microsoft Suite of tools.

Key Skills & Experience

•  Design, develop, and execute test strategies and plans for client facing applications.
• · Validate data integrity, transformations, and business logic from source to target systems.
• Build and maintain automated tests and frameworks for frontend UIs, APIs, and components using C# and Java (e.g., Selenium, SpecFlow, Cucumber, Karate).
• Automate data validation processes using appropriate tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, SQL, Shell).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (developers, BAs, DBAs, data engineers) to understand data flow and requirements.
• Validate regulatory and compliance-related reports (e.g., AML, KYC, Basel, CCAR, etc.).
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives).
• Investigate and document data defects and work with teams to ensure timely resolution.
• Create and maintain detailed test documentation, test cases, and test results for audit and compliance purposes.

Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 15+ years of QA experience, with a focus on end to end application testing.
• Strong knowledge of .Net and testing methods.
• Hands-on experience with banking or financial domain data, including retail and commercial real estate.
• Familiarity with data quality frameworks, data governance, and metadata management.
• Knowledge of testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium for UI, PyTest for data validation, JIRA, TestRail).
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
