Here, you'll do more than join something - you'll add something.\\n\\nThe Software Architecture team within the Vision Products Group is composed of architects and system software experts who are building the foundational technologies for a diverse set of revolutionary experiences, including FaceTime, Spatial Personas, Mac Virtual Display, Siri, and more. Our charter involves the entire product lifecycle, from initial hardware ideation through final release, with a focus on developing the frameworks that power some of our most beloved features\\n\\nWe are seeking an exceptional software engineer to help architect and implement cross-device frameworks and APIs for our platforms. This engineer will enhance the capabilities and performance of Vision products through the development of distributed systems and frameworks with a broad range of applications, including distributed AIML and real-time multimedia processing and transport. We are looking for a motivated individual to help build frameworks to enable a new class of networked services and applications that will define the future of connected experiences on our platforms. The ideal candidate should possess solid programming skills and demonstrate a strong interest in developing foundational frameworks and APIs. You will have the opportunity to apply and expand your knowledge of networking and systems programming while working alongside an experienced team to develop innovative approaches to multimedia streaming, distributed AI workloads, and computer vision based applications\n\nWe are seeking someone with networking expertise, in addition to interest or experience in at least one of the following fields: real-time media compression and transport, AIML, or distributed systems. In this role, you will contribute to building performant solutions while balancing system tradeoffs such as power consumption, latency, and computational efficiency, all while maintaining our high standards for privacy, security, and exceptional user experience.\n\nIn addition to work on framework development, this role also offers the unique opportunity to prototype new services and applications, as well as deep collaboration with other teams throughout Apple.

2+ years of developing software frameworks and APIs\nSolid understanding of network programming\nKnowledgable about network protocols and frameworks (e.g. TCP/IP, UDP, QUIC)\nInterest in multimedia, AIML, and/or distributed systems\nExposure to mobile device and embedded development \nKnowledgable about system level programming concepts\nStrong command of object-oriented programming (Swift / C++ preferred)\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills\nExcellent communication and presentation skills\nFamiliarity with Gen AI coding tools. Demonstrated ability to use them for design, code generation, and debugging\nBS or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field

Experience in multimedia, AIML, or computer vision\nExperience or interest in real-time media transport (e.g. WebRTC)\nExperience or interest in AR/VR applications\nExperience with iOS / macOS application development
