Cybersecurity Analyst (DLP & Data Protection)

We are seeking two Intermediate Security Analysts to support core cybersecurity and data protection operations. This role focuses on Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Insider Risk Management, Copilot/AI data security, vendor security reviews, and auditing.

• Location: Columbia, SC 29201 (Candidates must be South Carolina residents)
• Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)
• Role Type: Contract (With possibility for extension)
• Interview: 1-Round Virtual

Key Responsibilities

• Data Protection & Governance: Monitor DLP policies, investigate potential data exposure, and support Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) for AI and Copilot environments.
• Monitoring & Incident Response: Review and triage alerts from DLP and Insider Risk platforms, analyze movement of sensitive information, and escalate incidents.
• Insider Risk Management: Monitor user activity alerts associated with potential policy violations while maintaining strict confidentiality.
• Vendor Security Management: Participate in third-party assessments, review vendor documentation, and identify cybersecurity risks.
• Auditing & Compliance: Support cybersecurity audits, collect compliance evidence, and assist with control validation activities.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Residency Requirement: Must currently reside in South Carolina.
• Core Experience: 3+ years in enterprise cybersecurity operations (threat monitoring, incident response, and risk analysis).
• Technical Stack: 3+ years of hands-on experience with DLP, Insider Risk Management tools, and DSPM for AI.
• Incident Triage: 3+ years of experience reviewing security alerts, tracking sensitive data movement, and documenting findings.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science (or equivalent experience).
• Required Certification: Active CompTIA Security+ or GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC).

Preferred Skills

• Experience with AI-driven security tools (e.g., Cortex, DSPM platforms).
• Experience fine-tuning DLP policies and insider risk alerts.
• Familiarity with Azure security, identity-based access controls, conditional access, and security automation/scripting.
• Certifications: Microsoft SC-100, SC-200, CEH, or Associate CISSP.
